I am encountering an issue with logging into Skype consistently. Over the past two days, I have attempted to access my account but encountered difficulties. When I successfully log in, I am unable to navigate to "my account" as it continuously loads and then displays an error message stating the account cannot be accessed due to unresponsiveness. I need to update my credit card information on file with Skype, as my current card was recently cancelled by my bank due to unauthorized charges. Despite multiple attempts, I am unable to access my account to update this information. Skype has notified me that my account will be terminated today if I do not provide a valid credit card. I am unsure of what steps to take next to prevent the cancellation of my Skype account.

Hello. I am an elderly refugee living in another state for over 20 years, relying on Skype to stay connected with my homeland, friends, family, and work contacts. Recently, I encountered login issues on Skype due to forgetting my password. Despite multiple attempts and password changes, I am unable to access my account. The message I receive states: Username: opel555 Sign In Proceed to Skype Sign In Blocked The login for opel555 is blocked for the following reasons: - Exceeded incorrect password attempts. - Account may be restricted if obtained through an organization. I have been trying to cancel my Skype subscription for Austria for two months now. Last month, it indicated it would expire on August 3rd, but now it shows September 3rd. I have been charged for both months despite my attempts to end the subscription. The website lacks the cancel option it claims to have, and the support page keeps redirecting me to the "help" section without providing a way to chat with a representative online or by phone. The Microsoft site linked to Skype is no different. I am being billed monthly for a service I no longer wish to use.

Hello! I regret to inform you that my old account has been compromised by scammers. The phone number linked to this account now belongs to someone else, who is attempting to scam money from my friends and family contacts. The affected account belongs to Lina Dzhamirze, with the phone number: +[redacted]2 and Skype login: lina447960. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the email attached to this account, which may have been how the scammer gained access. The scammer has been asking for money from others under my name, including Edward Rzayev (login: edward-red1). We have reported this issue from Edward's account. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter and potentially blocking the account. Thank you.

I had three accounts and wanted to delete two so I was down to one. When I deleted one account (which has the email address [redacted]), it looks like a second account using the same email was also deleted (the one I wanted to keep with $22 and change credit on it). The one account I can access is not the one I want (it has a non-functioning email address - [redacted]). How can I access/reinstate the account I want to keep? Can you assist with this? I have been a Skype user and promoter for about 15 years but am so frustrated I am just about ready to stop using Skype altogether. Please help. - Pat P.

I accidentally entered the wrong email address while logging in. Following the prompt to correct this mistake, I updated the email address. However, I am now unable to proceed to the next screen as the system claims the email is unavailable, even though I simply rectified a single letter. I have an upcoming meeting in 90 minutes and urgently need to access the account. The account I am using is linked to my phone number, but my name appears as "KATEN" instead of the correct "KAREN."

Dear Skype Team, I recently noticed that I was charged for two annual subscriptions that I had canceled last year when I stopped using Skype. Surprisingly, when I logged in, I saw that the subscriptions were still active, so I canceled them again. Is there a way for me to cancel them once more and receive a refund? I have been charged $14.23 every few months for Skype for many years. I originally signed up for a Skype phone number for emergencies, which I haven't used in years. Recently, I noticed that the phone number may have been removed and reissued as I cannot find any records of these payments in my Skype account anymore. I am now confused about who or what I am being charged for since there is no payment history showing up. I would appreciate it if I could regain access to my phone number and view my payment history.

I am a Skype user paying $3.79 monthly for my Skype phone number through PayPal. However, last month, I received a bill of $52. My bank notified me about potential fraud, so the payment was stopped, and I had to change my debit card. When I reached out to Skype, I was informed that it was for my annual payment. I am assisting my father-in-law with his Skype account, and we encountered a pop-up message saying "account blocked" when trying to make a call. We could successfully login to his Microsoft and Skype accounts but did not receive any notification about the Skype account being locked. Despite reinstalling the app, the issue persisted. When attempting to make a call on Safari, it also mentioned "account blocked." Interestingly, using an old version of Firefox, we managed to make a call, though it only lasted about a minute.
