I ended up at a gas station store to meet a friend without my card, leading me to remember every detail of my expenses. I am unsure how to cancel my card, and I had to track every transaction painfully. Can NetSpend offer assistance in recovering some of the lost funds?

I was not expecting the computer cleanup that happened without my request. I was researching a house in Aspen, Colorado, when suddenly a window popped up claiming I had a virus and needed to call a specific number. The person on the phone claimed they wanted to prevent their computer from getting infected and took control of my system. I mentioned not having $[redacted] on my card, but they said not to worry and marked the invoice as paid. Later, when I called to make a payment, I noticed $[redacted] was missing from my retirement funds. Now, I'm facing financial difficulties, especially with car repairs coming up. I recently received a text alert regarding purchases made at a Burger King using our netspend card, which neither my husband nor I had made. Upon contacting netspend customer service, our card was promptly blocked, and a new one was requested. Subsequently, we were advised to obtain a temporary card from CVS for fund transfer. After activating the temporary card and calling back, we were informed of a restriction on the temporary card preventing fund transfer. This has left us without access to our funds. We are frustrated with the misleading information given and the lack of resolution. Despite being promised assistance from a supervisor, we were left waiting on the phone for over an hour until the call ended abruptly. The situation has left us both extremely distressed and in need of a solution to access our funds promptly.

After yesterday's call to change my entrance code and check my balance, $5 appeared on my card. Customer service rudely canceled my card and left me waiting for a supervisor for 45 minutes. I worry I'll be charged for a new card. The system is frustrating. I need someone in charge, not a computer expert, to help me.

About a month and a half ago, I misplaced my NetSpend card and needed a replacement. Due to my current situation being in the middle of a divorce and not having a fixed address, I struggled to have the new card sent to me. Today, on July 14th, I called NetSpend to request a new card be mailed to my new address. Unfortunately, I faced difficulty reaching them and was hung up on twice during the conversation. I provided all the necessary information, but the representatives abruptly ended the call without assisting me. Dealing with paperwork and setting up new accounts has been challenging, and encountering such unhelpful customer service only added to my frustrations. I hope NetSpend takes action against the individuals responsible for this poor experience. All I need is a new card sent to my current address as I heavily rely on it for various transactions.

I have been trying to track my deposit from July 1st until today, July 16th, with no success. NetSpend has been unhelpful, giving me the same response for 16 days, assuring me that my $[redacted].00 deposit will arrive without any success. I am unable to pay my bills or buy food, and I fear eviction if I do not receive my deposit promptly. I signed up for a 3-day trial at $1 per day. When the transaction was declined due to a fraud alert, I confirmed it was me. They allowed me to retry the payment, but it charged me $84.85 instead of $3 as intended for the trial. I did not want the full membership, only the trial. I am seeking a refund of the excess amount, keeping only the $3 for the trial.

On 08/01/22, an unauthorized transaction was made by NetSpend. I had authorized $[redacted] to cover a negative balance, but an additional $87.74 was taken without my consent to pay for unknown accounts. I have not been informed or have any knowledge of these accounts, and I would like a refund of $87.74 and $3. I disagree with the deduction as I only permitted the $[redacted] from card number [redacted] to clear the security block, leaving my balance at $[redacted] to withdraw for rent. Please refund me as agreed, as the representative assured me only $[redacted] would be debited. I'm on a fixed income and need this resolved promptly. Thank you.

I bought a card from Walmart and added money to it for our family vacation. Unfortunately, we're unable to use the funds for purchases or withdrawals as planned. Despite contacting customer service and confirming the card is active, the issue persists. Walmart informed us the card is non-refundable and referred us back to customer service. This situation has left my son and me stranded in LA without the ability to return home or buy food for the past five days. A couple of weeks ago, I added funds to my NetSpend card. Shortly after, I noticed multiple unauthorized charges. I contacted customer service to dispute the charges, and they canceled my card, sending me a new one. When I inquired about preventing future occurrences and initiating the dispute process, the representative put me on hold. After some time, the call disconnected. I received the new card and am looking to contact support promptly.

After adding money to my card, I noticed fraudulent charges later on. When I called customer service to dispute the charges, the representative I spoke to was unclear. My card was cancelled, and while ordering a new one, I inquired about making future purchases more secure. Despite the difficulty reaching a resolution due to my deactivated card, I hope to easily dispute the charges, receive a refund, and activate my new card.

I have a Money Card from a branch ending in [redacted]. After contacting Walmart.com in Bentonville, Arkansas, they claim not to have any record of my card and advised me to reach out to my bank. Although I was refunded for a transaction on July 14th, two other disputes remain unresolved despite my multiple emails and assurances of a response within 6 days. I have yet to hear back from an analyst. Even after speaking with Walmart.com's corporate office, the issue persists as they still report not having any information about my card ending in [redacted].

I purchased a NetSpend Reloadable card at Walmart Supercenter in Hinesville, GA on 09/20, but unfortunately, I have misplaced it before registering online. I have the receipt and hope to check if it has been used or request a replacement. I reached out to the [redacted] number provided but was prompted for the card number, which I attempted from the receipt but was deemed invalid. Subsequently, they requested my SS# without consideration for my unregistered status. I have explained my situation via email, stressing the lack of card registration. I raised a dispute regarding transactions on my account but despite contacting customer service five times, no action has been taken yet. I was assured it would be resolved and refunded by the 23rd, with additional credit if it wasn't, but it's now the 29th and I haven't received anything back. On 08-09-22, I contacted customer service regarding a dispute on my rent payment. The call got disconnected, and the representative filed a dispute without my consent. This has caused me to face eviction as my rent money has not been released to me. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach a supervisor and keep getting redirected to the automated system. I have called 12 times already with no luck. My reference number is [redacted], account number [redacted]55, and the disputed amount is $1,[redacted].18. I was informed the money was returned to the rental company, but they claim they don't have it. Please resolve this issue promptly by putting the funds back onto my card. It is crucial for me and my disabled son to have access to this money, which rightfully belongs to us. Your assistance in rectifying this situation would be greatly appreciated.

I had to close my account due to fraud on 9/16/[redacted]. While I was out of town, I received a new card and transferred my account to the new card on the 19th or 20th. However, my son-in-law mistakenly transferred $[redacted] to my old card number because I forgot to inform him about the new card. Today, when I tried to use the old card at Target, the transaction was not accepted, which made me realize the oversight.

I recently noticed an unauthorized charge on my Netspend card. I have been a cardholder for several years. I discovered unauthorized charges totaling $[redacted] on my card on September 29th. I was instructed to submit a letter before the 14th, which I promptly did by sending it on the 12th. Despite following their instructions, the response I received was sent to "no reply" at netspend.com. Initially, they mentioned a 7 to 10 day waiting period, which later extended to December 27th to receive a refund for the unauthorized charges. I faced a similar situation in May when $[redacted] was wrongfully deducted from my card, and despite their negligence, they failed to rectify the error. This delay has led to significant financial repercussions, leaving me without power. I am adamant about not waiting until December 27th for resolution and am prepared to take legal action if my funds are not promptly returned.

I have encountered continuous issues with Netspend where my funds have not been deposited. Despite receiving multiple cards in the mail, my account remains unfixed. The customer service experience is frustrating as I have spent hours on the phone with different agents only to continually be told there are numerous accounts under my name. I have repeatedly explained that this is due to identity theft, but the problem persists. Netspend's solution seems to be sending me more cards which does not address the underlying issue. This has been my ongoing experience with Netspend, and I am sharing it to warn others. I look forward to a resolution and will definitely share my outcome widely.
