I have been experiencing issues at LA Fitness in Kearny, NJ. The pool temperature has been cold for three weeks, measuring at 72 degrees instead of the required 84 degrees. Additionally, one of the two lane dividers has been broken for 2 1/2 weeks without resolution. The manager, Amy, has promised to address these concerns multiple times but they remain unresolved. Furthermore, the clock in the men's locker room has not been working for a month.

I had a disappointing experience at LA Fitness Howard Beach today when trying to cancel my membership due to moving out of state. Jonathan P., the member services manager, was unhelpful and rude throughout the process. Despite being just 30 minutes early, he insisted I come back at 9 am to cancel, whispering to have me return later. When I agreed to cancel via certified mail and requested forms by email, technical difficulties arose, and Jonathan's behavior escalated as he aggressively handled the situation, refusing to provide me with his last name. This unacceptable treatment from Jonathan P. tarnished my loyalty to LA Fitness, despite the gym's other shortcomings, like roaches in the sauna. I expect not to be charged for August since I canceled on 8/10, two days before my usual billing date on 8/12. The lack of professionalism and respect I encountered from Jonathan P. highlights the need for better training in customer service and communication skills among LA Fitness staff.

Quisiera cancelar mi suscripción porque el contrato original era por un año, que debería haber terminado el 14 de abril y ahora estamos en septiembre 07 y aún están cobrando los pagos. Recientemente me enviaron un correo electrónico pidiéndome que enviara un mensaje solicitando la cancelación, pero al parecer el correo que me dieron estaba incorrecto y no he recibido respuesta. Por favor, les pido que cancelen mi suscripción, ya que solo utilicé los servicios del gimnasio durante cuatro meses y ya he estado pagando por 17 meses.

I recently canceled my membership and visited the Carson location today. I informed the front desk employee, Daisy, of the cancellation, after which she allowed me entry. However, during a Zumba class, she rudely and unprofessionally informed me in front of everyone that I had to leave as my membership had ended the day before. She insisted I needed to be registered as a guest by accompanying her to the front desk. This encounter was embarrassing, and although I understand the rules, I believe better communication training for staff is necessary. Additionally, during the Zumba class, the air conditioning was not working, causing foggy windows. Daisy prevented someone from leaving, which was concerning behavior. I hope this feedback prompts action to improve the customer experience. Despite renewing my membership, a special price was not offered, indicating a lack of concern for retaining customers who cancel memberships.
