Hello, I forgot my password and no longer have access to the email I used to register with Duolingo. Please advise. I actually can’t even remember the email I registered with:(. I have a 1-year subscription and many achievements, and I will be really sad to lose my progress. I only have my username, or what I assume is a number, which is Aleksandr764697. I've been subscribed since March [redacted] and have 21,[redacted] points. Please help me recover my account.

Hello, my name is Misbah ul Islam. My test results have been invalidated due to participating four times using different accounts. I would like to explain why I took the exam multiple times. My university requires a score of [redacted] with no section below 95. In my first attempt, the result was unsatisfactory. In the second attempt, I used a university coupon code on a different account but failed to speak for 30 seconds, leading to an invalid result. The third time, my laptop's microphone had prolonged disturbances affecting my performance. Finally, in the last attempt, everything went smoothly, and my exam was better than previous ones, but my account got blocked due to high traffic. I urge Duolingo authorities to validate my last exam results promptly as my university is ending its processes next week, and I have already paid my tuition fees months ago. Failure to submit my results promptly may lead to rejection from the university, causing a year's loss. The current situation, with Covid-19 potentially impacting embassy appointments, adds urgency to my request. I appeal to Duolingo to consider my circumstances and approve my results as soon as possible.

I would like to request a refund for the $83.88 charge on my account. Despite initially signing up for your service with the intention of utilizing it regularly, I only used it on the first day. I subscribed to the "FREE" ten-day trial but struggled to cancel it online after the trial period. It was not as straightforward as signing up. Fortunately, I managed to cancel before the deadline and have proof on my screen. However, my account was still charged $[redacted] CAD for the full year. I am frustrated that they default to charging users after the trial, even if they cancel. This situation is particularly challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic when finances are tight. I appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Hello, I recently tried to cancel my subscription in November after being incorrectly charged $12.99. However, upon reviewing my account today, I saw that I was charged again this month. I need help canceling my subscription to DuoLingo. I have searched online to find a way to cancel it. I deleted the app from my phone a few months ago and haven't used it since. I initially signed up for the free service without realizing it would turn into a monthly subscription charging $12.99. I've attempted to cancel through Google Play without success. I recently received an update message that prompted me to provide my details, resulting in the creation of a new account with a different name. Subsequently, when attempting to access my original account from my email update, I found myself logged into the new account instead. I had already made full payment for my previous account, but I am now being asked to pay again, and I am encountering advertisements. I wanted to share some important information with everyone regarding a concerning online advertisement that has been tricking people into losing money. I, along with others, have fallen victim to a similar scheme involving newly registered websites that use animated gifs. One such site is Yokawa, operating under the name 'Estabishloves'. The scam involves seemingly discounted wifi security cameras, promising free shipping when you order two cameras. However, upon delivery, only poor quality SD cards are provided. When attempting to get a refund through PayPal, the seller instructs you to return the items at your own cost. They then claim non-receipt of the package due to a fake address, resulting in the cancellation of your claim. It's essential to stay vigilant and research companies thoroughly before making any purchases online. Yokawa and 'Estabishloves' have received numerous negative reviews on Trustpilot, with many customers reporting similar fraudulent activities. Regards, Andrew

Hello Duolingo Team, I signed up for Duolingo Plus for a year. I started taking classes during the pandemic and was consistent, but due to personal reasons and issues in Nigeria, I had to stop. I missed over 8 months of classes (from April to now). My subscription is set to end in March [redacted]. I had a streak of [redacted] days going strong. Unfortunately, I fell ill on Tuesday and missed my lessons. Despite having a streak freeze and receiving a notification that my streak had been fixed, I am now concerned as my streak has not been restored. While some features like achievements show that I am on day [redacted] with my next goal set for day [redacted], I'm hoping my streak can be recovered. It feels disheartening to lose a six-month streak due to a short bout of illness.

I believed my free trial was ending on the 16th and discovered that Duolingo had deducted the fee from my checking account without my consent. I had intended to purchase the yearly subscription next month, as I require these funds for living expenses now. It is crucial that I have the refund processed today, as I need the money for Christmas preparations next week. While I appreciate Duolingo, I am disappointed by this misunderstanding. I recently received an email notification from Duolingo. I had stopped using the app to focus on starting my business. When I opened the app on my phone, I noticed that Finnish was now an option. However, I was disappointed to discover that I could only add new courses using the laptop version. I tried to access Finnish on my laptop but couldn't find it anywhere in my account. As someone with Finnish heritage, I was excited to learn the language as my grandfather emigrated from Finland. However, after struggling to locate the course and seeking assistance unsuccessfully, I became frustrated and had to give up. Duolingo needs to improve the user-friendliness of its website. My niece Lil Lil, who is twelve years old, has been diligently studying Polish and French for a year and a half. Unfortunately, she recently missed a day of lessons due to school work, causing her to lose her 14,[redacted]-point streak, which has left her heartbroken. She has decided to take a break, but I am concerned about her chances of returning to her studies after this interruption. In the spirit of Christmas and to bring some joy to this challenging year of [redacted], I am wondering if it would be possible to restore her streak. I am willing to offer any number of my [redacted] crowns or 4,[redacted] lingots to help with this. I have personally enjoyed using Duolingo, accumulating 63,[redacted] XP, and have even recommended it to my family and friends. Despite having spent a significant amount of time learning Hungarian, my previous account did not properly link to my current one. I have noticed that Duolingo recently made significant changes to their app, which has made language learning more challenging with the addition of the hearts system. The hearts system seems unnecessary and quite bothersome as it interrupts the learning process by disallowing continued lessons if the hearts run out. This new feature is frustrating as I simply want to focus on learning without the hindrance of being removed from a lesson because of insufficient hearts. Moreover, there are instances where the program indicates errors in my answers even when they are correct, resulting in additional deductions of hearts. It was definitely a more efficient system before these modifications were implemented.

I wanted to share my experience with Duolingo. A few years back, I started using the app and found it helpful in learning French basics. However, with recent updates, the app has become more competitive and toxic. I feel constantly compared to others, which has been affecting my self-worth. Despite these issues, I continue using Duolingo because it's a free resource (important for my family's financial situation) and due to the progress I've already made. I hope to address these concerns and make a positive change. While I'm aware Duolingo is a large corporation, I believe it can maintain its success without fostering a competitive environment. If these concerns are not acknowledged, I may consider switching to alternatives like Babbel for the sake of my mental health. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope for a response.

While I was using the Dueling Plus Yearly subscription's free trial, I unknowingly got charged for the yearly subscription fee of $83.88 without any notification. This is my first time using my card, and as a student, every dollar counts for me. The [redacted].33 Turkish lira charged is causing an issue for me as my rent of [redacted] Turkish lira is already overdue. Hello, I am experiencing some issues: Italian course: likely due to an update or my change of mobile operator, the font size is larger, making it hard to see the entire text, select certain response buttons, or access the talk button (reduced to a point on the screen). English course: the layout has changed, similar to what happened with the Italian course some time ago, but here I am back at the very beginning (almost tempted to give up).
